Rosca de Reyes is a traditional Mexican bread which
represents a Crown. It is decorated with slices of crystallized or candied
coloful fruit resembling jewels, which symbolize all jewels on the Three Kings’
crowns, which represent peace, love and happiness. Mexican families celebrate
January 6th eating Rosca de Reyes as it is the last Christmas celebration and
usually exchange some gifts to remember how the Three Kings brought baby Jesus
extraordinary gifts.
Here in Mexico we celebrate with friend & and the
person who finds the baby ( Baby Jesus) in their piece of Rosca, will have a
lot of blessings and to share the blessings the lucky person gets to host a
celebration serving tamales on Candle-mass Day.
